Mark M. McKenzie, MD
Dr. McKenzie is a full-time Primary Investigator with an on-site commitment to the investigations conducted at ClinSearch. He has been practicing Internal Medicine in Southeast Tennessee and the Chattanooga area since 2002. In 1991, Dr. McKenzie received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology degree from Southern Adventist University. After spending 4 years working as a medical technologist, he decided to study medicine. He completed medical school and a residency at the Medical College of Ohio at the University of Toledo in 2002.
Christy Sweet, LPN, CCRP
Clinical Research Manager
Christy rejoined ClinSearch in Oct 2011. She has been a clinical research coordinator since 2007. She achieved SOCRA Certification in November 2011. Christy is a licensed practical nurse and previously worked for 8 years as a nurse supervisor in geriatrics. She is certified in IATA, CITI, OSHA, dietary counseling, and CPR. Christy has extensive research experience in neurology such as migraine, insomnia, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. Christy’s research experience also includes OIC, weight loss, gastroparesis, and IBS-constipation. As a lead coordinator on a phase 1 Alzheimer’s vaccine trial, Christy was one of the first research nurses to administer the vaccine in the United States.
